Hello friends!
I hope you've had a happy December so far!
Are you still in decorating mode? Or you're already prepping the feast!
Maybe both?
Yep. I'm also there.
I was also lending a helping hand to my friend Elizabeth by adding more Christmas cheer to her mantel.
Elizabeth has a beautiful home decorated in a classy traditional style.
Yep, my favorite.
I'm a traditionalist. :) I adore the wonderful art collection and decor she uses around her house. I may ask if it's OK for me to feature her home here on the blog.
For now, let's take a look at the mantel in the basement. I hadn't taken a shot of them before, but the pretty basics were already there: the mirror, the garland, and the Christmas stockings.

She bought the pretty garland and laid it on the mantel, then hung the stockings and called it a day.
Well, it was very OK, but as usual, the little details are the ones that bring any setting up a notch.
I added the looping red tartan ribbon along the garland, letting it cascade on either side.
Twinkle lights were also added, which was the magic this mantel needed.
I brought these trees that I've had for quite some time. The idea of creating a miniature forest came after fetching the golden deer I found in my bag.
Giving the little trees different heights was achieved by using upside-down glasses. The trees were hot glued in place.
Elizabeth had this collection of little white stones on the hearth that I thought would look awesome, all scattered, resembling snow.
As I said, it's all in the little details.
Take a look at the small video that I also captured. I hope you've liked this post and mantel, and I hope you can draw inspiration when decorating your home!
