Let's welcome the new season with a simple tablescape dressed in those deep delicious colors of Fall!
Hello sweet friends!
The weather might still be on the warm side, but you can't deny those early crisp mornings that are now a regular occurrence. That's something that always gets me in the Autumn spirit.
Ha, how ironic that just a couple of weeks ago, I was feeling as if I was in the middle of summer and didn't want to get out of it.
After spending a little over six weeks in Colombia - Bogota and the Caribbean, I came back home tired and sick!
During the final week in Cartagena, my daughter caught the flu that she nicely passed it on to me. Ugh, the last week of the trip we were miserable coughing nonstop.
We went to the doctor and Sam was prescribed antibiotics and other meds. The awful thing is that I didn't get any medicine as they said I had nothing going on, no Covid, no strep-throat, no cold, no flu. Just a little bit of dripping in the back that made me cough. 😟
I wasn't happy.

I'm still going through my pictures and videos, I'll be sharing a few of those pics in an upcoming post.
My main task last week was to get up to speed on everything at home. Pay bills, give all the plants a good gulp of water, clean the fridge and buy groceries...
Oh, and weed the yard!
Gosh, those pesky weeds were ginormous! I still need to get rid of the ones in the backyard.
Anyhow, I also had time to go to Target and it was there where I spotted lots of cute Fall decor that inspired me to create this tablescape.
Those cute terracotta pumpkins were at the Target dollar spot. I wish they would've had more than two, for only three dollars each I think that's a fair price.
The other little orange pumpkins were also three dollars for a bag of six. They are plastic.
| Candlesticks | Brown Bottles |
I unpacked my collection of old brown bottles and used them to hold a good stash of those weeds and black eyed susans from the yard. 😂
A soup bowl pumpkin that I got last year was the centerpiece, along with a set of chunky candlesticks.
How I cherished those moments!
Being back home and sitting around this little table made me feel the coziness of home, the laid-back vibe that we usually sport when we're home, the routine, the place to relax.
I'm loving the black dishes and how they along with the black placemats ground the table and make the other elements pop.
Oh, I also brought some Autumn decor to the contiguous family room, but that's something you can check during my Fall Home Tour right HERE. A series hosted by my dear friend Marty from A Stroll Thru Life.
I went a little overboard in the picture-taking department, but I hope to also inspire you to set a pretty tablescape this Fall to enjoy a delicious meal with those close to you.
Oh, and those drinks are my very last nod to this fantastic summer! ;)
Hugs,
Cristina
