Well, It's Friday!!
I'm once again joining my friends for another installment of Home & Decor Encore, and this week I'm sharing this built-in buffet. This was a huge build that gave this tiny dining room a whole lot of storage and personality.
I love built-in units!
Well, I love to build them. You can check some of the previous units that I've built here, here & here.
When people ask me for advice when thinking about building one of these units, I usually tell them to practice building square wooden boxes. A big unit like this buffet consists of many boxes a.k.a drawers, base cabinets, wall cabinets, etc.
Perfecting the measuring and cutting of the wood is a top priority while constructing those boxes. ;)

You can add a unit in almost any empty space. A huge cabinet used to obstruct the back wall. After it was tossed out, there was enough room to create a seamless built-in.
The best part is that you can design it to fit your own needs and/or dimensions.
Once you create your very first unit, you won't want to stop!
Built-in units are storage solvers!
Building your own drawers and cabinets allows for endless sizing needs! Now those oddly sized dishes or bows can fit perfectly ;).
