I don't know about you, but I'm more than ready to go outside and tackle a few projects to spruce up our outdoor spaces and get them ready for the warm days ahead!
Well, that's only if the weather cooperates a bit. 🙁
These past weeks have been raining on and off, but it looks like finally, this weekend is going to be steamy hot! I know. Not so great either. However, I'm sure I'll be out there enjoying it!
And hey, in case you are having better weather, I compiled five outdoor projects that can be tackled in a weekend. They will be a great addition to your outdoor spaces!

1. DIY OUTDOOR SERVING CART
I built this serving or bar cart five years ago and it's still serving its purpose there in my backyard, and it's as strong as the first day I built it.
The other fact that I can tell you about this cart is that the paint is still looking great for it being there under the elements. Yep. Rain, sun, and snow- it looks great!
2. DIY - RAISED GARDEN BED AGAINST FENCE
The picture below was what I envisioned when I set to build the raised garden along the fence. I can see those roses when I'm washing the dishes there in the kitchen. This is a picture from two years ago but at this moment those knocked-out roses are just the same, in full bloom. ❤️
The labor I put into creating this garden bed has more than paid off with all that I've been enjoying and will continue to enjoy this view.
3. REMOVING RUST FROM METAL RAILING
There are some projects that aren't so enjoyable but they need to be done. This is one of them.
The metal railing was giving a less than desirable impression when visitors got to our front door. It was all rusted. 😖
One weekend and lots of elbow grease and that railing is good as new.
4. DIY - FLOWER BOX
Many times there are projects that pop up as a solution to a big problem we're facing. This flower box was exactly that, a solution to an eyesore side on the deck.
5. DIY - OUTDOOR COFFEE TABLE
This coffee table was just a fun project to liven up our outdoor space. I thought the unpainted boards were going to twist badly because I used pocket hole joinery to assemble them. Oh, and also because of the weather hitting on them. Nope. The twisting was minimal. 👍
Well, there you have them, five projects to tackle this summer!
It's Friday! And as usual, I'm joining my friends for another Home & Decor Encore edition, a weekly series where we share the best of the best from our archives.
