Adding Christmas decor to a bedroom can be as simple or as elaborate as you want it to be. For my son's bedroom I continued to use the same color palette that I used in the main area of the house: Red, black and little hints of green.
If you're one of my regulars, you'll see many of the same decor pieces that I've been using for years. The only new addition to this room this year was the flannel sheet set.
If you're still undecided about bringing Christmas decor to your room or maybe a guest room let me tell you that it isn't too late and again, you can use what you have on hand.
PICK A THEME
For this room I went with a Christmas Trees theme because I have tons of little trees and tree decor that I've used to decorate other rooms in previous years.
You can check my dining room with the same Christmas Trees theme HERE.

Other themes you can use: Santa, red & white, Snowman, black & white, Christmas bells, red & green, snow, etc.
USE CHRISTMAS DECOR STAPLES
I used a faux boxwood Christmas wreath on the closet sliding barn door. I love the contrast of the red ribbon on that old minty door.
I also wanted to bring a big Christmas tree full of lights, but this room is very small. It would've been a nuisance for my son. If you have plenty of room, go for it!

The focal point in this bedroom is the big Christmas trees sign that I painted a long time ago. I've been using it throughout the house every. single. year since I made it. What can I say, I still love it!
You can also use small signs that are readily available at Target or Walmart to decorate your walls or the shelves.

DRESS UP THAT BED!
Yes, a new sheet set or maybe a pretty throw pillow or blanket might be the only decoration that your bedroom needs to bring some Christmas spirit to it.
You can also add a garland or a string of lights on the headboard.
The shelves were spruced up with stuffed animals, tags and faux greenery. Bruce the Moose makes an appearance once again as he protects some fresh t-shirts.
The baskets liners were updated with red plaid fabric that I had in my stash. I simply wrapped the front and sides of the basket with this new vibrant textile.
The room's theme was carried over to the baskets by writing types of Christmas trees on the labels.
The desk area grew a little forest.
Nothing big, there's still space to work on those Christmas cards.Well my friends, I hope you've enjoyed this Christmas Trees bedroom tour. Hopefully you got an idea or two to go and use in one of your bedrooms.
Wishing you all a Very Merry Christmas!!
