Home Office Decorated For Christmas

wrapping center for the holidays
One of the spaces in my home where I spend a ton of time working on projects, blog posts, and paying bills is my office. So, I was glad to finally bring some order and lots of Christmas cheer to this space.

Oh, how I love to see it this pretty!

I wish I could keep my office organized but nope. Somehow, it turns into a messy sight in the blink of an eye.

This is a close-up of the desk area, I got a new pc. Well, my son built me this computer and he set it right there on the desk because he thought it looked cool with all those lights showing through the glass. 🙄

Last week I finally built a pc cart to put the unit under the desk. I will share that build in another post. Oh, I also removed the design on the wall. It was a temporary solution and thanks to the Command strips, it was easy to remove.

Do you see all the junk on that table?? That was only a small portion of the mess after bringing the Christmas decor up from the basement. 😫

Since I removed the wall design, I needed new art for that spot and that's why I'm showing you this art piece. We had this piece of art, wait no, my husband had this print that he brought to a gallery to be framed, and that was before we even met! Yep. Loooong time ago.
I love the print and the frame, and I used it around our home for many years, but for the past decade, it's been sitting in the basement.
Well, I finally convinced him to let me use the frame, saving the print in case we want to use it later. 😉

Anyhow, let me show you how my office looks now all organized and ready for Christmas.

This frame might be my favorite part. The print I used was an engineering print of a Silent Night, Holy Night sheet music that I found on the web.
This is something you can create so easily and affordably. First, get your file, whatever lyrics you want to print, bring them or log on to Staples and make that file into an engineering print for less than eight dollars. The size I chose was 36" x 48".

I painted a good bunch of hardcover, reference books that my husband rescued from the recycling bin at work. The other books I used to style the shelves I had at home were simply covered with white paper.

On the other side of the room, the chalkboard got plastered with one of my favorite Christmas carols.

I spent a good amount of time styling those shelves and I'm still tweaking them.

I'm going to try hard to keep this room as you see it here. Put all of my supplies back where they belong and not bring anything new. Ha, wish me luck!
