My Halloween décor has gotten to a minimum now that my kids are all grown. However, I always like to add a few touches of Halloween around the front door to cheer up all those trick-o-treaters.
Last week I started adding some colorful mums and pumpkins to my front stoop and I'll be sharing all of it with you in my next post.
The beautiful porch you see here, is my neighbor's, and I'm so very lucky that she let me have tons of fun decorating that front porch I don't have! :D
Three years ago when I built the little wheelbarrow, her porch was the beautiful backdrop, as you can see in the picture below.

As a last minute project at that time, I also created the Fall sign you see in picture above. I didn't like it much, but it served its purpose. This year when my neighbor once again brought out the sign, I knew it was time to create something new and that's exactly what I did this past weekend.
One leftover piece of plywood from my latest built was transformed into the sign you see below... A double sided sign.
I think that's a win-win with Fall and Christmas in only one piece. The dimensions of the board I used are 11.5" x 60" and I printed the letters, transferred them onto the painted board to paint them.
Monday morning, I brought the sign to her. But well, you know I just couldn't drop the sign without adding something else to that pretty porch! :)
These kitty cats were another easy project that I tackled during the weekend. 2 x 4 scraps were turned in cutesy cats. I know you guys can tackle this one! Use a jig saw to notch a V to create the ears on three 2 x 4's - 12, 10 and 8 inches tall. Paint them, add googly eyes and a bow.
Black crows were definitely the element that gave this porch the spooky factor. Nothing more economical than construction paper! I printed the crow's silhouettes and used scissors to cut their shapes, two at a time.
A little bird on the sunflower wreath...
