Hi there!
Last year and again, this one, I've been part of the Home Depot's ProSpective program, where a bunch of bloggers get to review the latest in tools.
They send the tools for us to work with them and then, we give our honest opinions.
So, now that father's day is fast approaching, I thought it would be great to let you know the tools that for one reason or another made it to the top of my list. Yes, each and everyone of the tools I'm listing here, it's a favorite. Oh, there are a few that I can't wait to try!
And hey, I'm super excited about today's amazing giveaway!!! I have teamed up with RYOBI Power Tools to give two lucky winners two of our favorite tools and a Home Depot gift card. Details at the end of this post.
So, let me show you the tools that I think the father in your life is going to appreciate having in his shop. As you can see, great prices for every budget!
If you think Dremel is only for crafters, think again. This set has it all. Well, almost. :)
The rotary tool is used for doing lots of crafts, but I also kept on using it for perfecting the angles when cutting moldings. Sanding those coped corners was easy with this rotary tool.
The Multi Max and Saw Max are tools you reach for when getting into detail work or when working in tight spaces.
Drill, impact driver, two batteries, charger and bag... Whoa that's a lot! And not even mentioning the brushless motor technology. The impact driver has three different speeds and 2250 in-lbs of torque.
This set is just what dad needs for working on his cars and trucks! Excellent quality and that industrial black finish looks great!
This saw is lightweight but powerful! It has lower vibration for smooth cut starts and one-hand control.
Ryobi AirStrike pin nailers have been a favorite of mine. I've been using the 18 and 15 gauge for a LONG time. This, the latest nailer in their line, is great for detail work. Reliability + great price are my words to describe these great tools.
Great quality and power in a compact tool! The price is also great.
Installing Sheetrock has never been this easy! The Screw Gun is light and powerful and the depth of each screw is perfect every time.
This is Mr. RLC's favorite light! This is literally the tool he keeps by his night stand. :D Oh, he loves it and he keeps on using it all the time! He finds any excuse to bring this light out. :D
9. BOSCH 65 ft.Laser Measure - $49.97
Forget about measuring tapes. This laser measure does the job fast and accurately.
10. 6 Gal. 3.5-Peak HP NXT Wet/Dry Vac - $49.97
The suction power on this Ridgid Wet/Dry Vac is astounding. It's a big vacuum in a small package! And I love that they added cord storage, something that my old vac missed. ;)
I kept on using this level all the time during a makeover I gave to an office space a couple weeks ago.
Hanging stuff on the wall was never this easy for me. The self-leveling was awesome!
Click HERE to check one of the projects I tackled there.
12. HUSKY 48 UB, Box Level with Plumb Site - $29.96
A simple level that's solid and accurate.
13. 3M Black Professional Ear Muff - $26.97
Noise protection at its best. They are comfortable to wear and effective at dampening sound.
14. BOSCH Multi-Purpose Carbide Drill Bits for Drilling Tile, Masonry, Wood, Metal and Concrete - $19.97
Drilling into concrete has never been this easy! Really. It feels like working with wood.
Good selection at a great price!
16. Diablo SandNet Sanding Discs $14.97
My way to go for sanding. I have no complaints about these Diablo Sanding discs they last longer that any of the other brands I've tried. I keep on using the 120 grid, that's my favorite, but you can also get them on 80, 220, 320 and 400 grid.
17. DIABLO 6-Piece Bi-Metal Recip Set with Free 9 in. Carbide Pruning Recip Blade - $14.97
18. Water Resistant Leather Work Glove $12.97
These gloves are fantastic! Strong but soft and very flexible. The water resistant is a nice feature.
19. Wiss Straight-Cut Aviation Snips - $11.97
Good quality and comfortable grip. Cuts thru various thickness of metals and a few plastic items. Made in the USA.
20. HUSKY Diamond Tip Magnetic Screwdriver Set (6 Piece) - Was $14.97 - Now: $9.97
For me, the magnetic feature makes all the difference for this screwdriver set. Driving very small screws is easier when using the magnetic diamond tip.
Well, that's it my friends. I hope you have made your decision! :) Any of these fantastic tools is going to be a great gift!
