Hey there!
Spring is finally here and if you're as anxious as I am to go outside and start prettying up your yard for the beautiful seasons ahead of us, well let me tell you, this is the perfect time to do it.
We had a couple of warm days this past week and the mister was full speed ahead with his favorite tools starting the clean up and care of our yard.
After a though winter, there are many things we need to
do to bring the yard back to life and I've compiled a list of 20 things to do right now and during the following months to establish a lush and healthy yard you can enjoy all year long.

2. Pull up dead turf/grass
3. Get rid of dead plants / tree branches

4. Trim bushes

5. Cut back and divide perennials
6. Aerate the lawn
If your turf isn't looking good or if you have noticed water having difficulty penetrating through the soil surface, it might be the time to aerate your lawn.
You can use aeration shoes, a stiff rake or if you have a large lawn, a rented gas-powered aeration tool to do this job. Water and nutrients will be better absorbed after you aerate your lawn.
7. Add topsoil to low spots
Accumulation of snow might have created low spots on your lawn. Fill them up with soil, re-seed or add sod.
8. Take care of weeds and their seeds
Pull weeds or spot spray them when needed.
9. Reseed or add sod
10. Add nutrients
11. Water it well
12. Keep your turf trimmed

13. Leave clippings
Leave that 1/3 of grass you cut off, there on the lawn. It gives back nutrients to your lawn.
14. Add mulch to garden beds
Mulching will help retain moisture on the soil, suppress weeds, improve the soil's texture and it will also make your garden look good.
15. Trim and edge lawn

16. Test soil
Knowing the type of soil you have and the best way to improve it, is essential for a lawn or garden you want to thrive.
17. Plan the layout of your flower and/or vegetable garden
