Hi there,
Back in August while on Summer vacation, we visited Colonial Williamsburg, if you're one of my regular readers you might remember the post I shared about its architecture, you can find it right HERE.
Well, last week, while organizing and getting files off my computer I got to our Summer pictures and I remembered that I didn't want to store these pictures without first sharing them with you. ;)
Being there in Williamsburg was like stepping back in time, and once I entered the Pasteur & Galt apothecary shop I was like, oh my goodness, this space is awesome!
The built-ins, the containers, and all those little medicine bottles are just too cute!
While my kids spent a good amount of time chatting to the apothecary I went all around the shop documenting all this beauty, just take a look for yourself:
Please visit The Colonial Williamsburg website for information about the Pasteur & Galt Apothecary Shop.
Most importantly, I totally recommend you to visit Colonial Williamsburg. Let's keep history alive!
Have a great Sunday everyone!
Wow, I would love some of those blue & white jars!
ReplyDeleteI've been twice, but not for 14 years....so loved it! I wanted to move right in and live there forever. Did I mention I'm a colonial/revolutionary war history buff?
ReplyDeleteCristina,
ReplyDeleteWe spent part of our honeymoon at Williamsburg many, many years ago. Then we visited again during the Christmas holiday season about twenty years later. We loved the Christmas decorations and all of the special Christmas events.
Your photos of the Apothecary shop are wonderful and show the extraordinary workmanship common to all of the buildings.

I remember it so well....all those gorgeous jars, bottles and flasks......not to mention the cupboards!!! What a wonderful place to visit!!!
ReplyDeleteColonial Williamsburg is one of my absolute favorite places I've ever visited. I am an herbalist (although I wasn't yet when we visited), I couldn't get enough of that shop! Thanks for bringing back some wonderful memories
ReplyDeleteGreat place! LOVE the white&blue vases! Would fit perfectly on my garden table!
