Hey there,
It's so fun to step away from the regular home improvement projects and spend time with my kids doing a simple craft!
The thing is, my kids are not little any longer. The boy doesn't care a bit about crafts. The girl, on the contrary, has been the one experimenting with clay, wax, and many other mediums all her life...
And no, she isn't a little girl any more. :(
She is in college, and she' s working - Well, an internship. But, that doesn't stop her from crafting.
This easy project today was her idea to
bring some Valentine cheer to her office. ;)
The materials:
- Brown paper lunch bags
- Wooden Heart shapes
- Decorative Ribbon
- Acrylic paint
- Old tooth brush
- Hole punch
All the materials were bought at Michaels, and even this project's idea came from their Instagram feed during Christmas.
The bags were given a paint splatter treatment using an old toothbrush and very well diluted paint (red, pink and white).
The hearts were painted white.
The bags were filled with goodies and candies. Then, the top was folded, and decorative ribbon was passed thru little holes to close them up. The wooden hearts were hung from the ribbon before tying it.
I ♥ them!
And I think they're good for anyone! School-age kids and all those
other kids-at-heart that love Valentines. :)
other kids-at-heart that love Valentines. :)
They are adorable Cristina! Love the paint splatter affect!
ReplyDeleteSharing this with my daughter...she is a "homeroom mom" and this would be perfect for any classroom holiday party! Inexpensive and cute!!!! Told her she could change it up for the holiday...change the paint color and the little card for whatever holiday you are celebrating! Just too cute...thanks Cristina!
ReplyDeleteAw, how cute! You always come up with the best.

These are really good. I love your idea of using them for an office. A home made cookie or muffin would be awesome as well.
