Hey there,
It seems like Fall started like two weeks ago around here. I've been adding little - and big- touches of Fall all throughout my home. However, when I go outside it feels like summer hasn't gotten the memo... It's still steamy hot out there. :)
The good thing is, it was all done with a purpose, yep. As many of you already know, last week Marty from a Stroll Thru Life hosted a week long of home tours where each home was dressed in its best Fall attire. Guess what? It was tons of fun and a great source of inspiration for our Fall decor.
This time I was looking forward to see how each of us dressed our kitchens. I think Fall is the season that's centered around the kitchen, and since my decor there is kinda less to nothing, I wanted to see and learn from my blogging friends some more tricks in this department or room. ;)
So, let's see these beautiful kitchens.
I was certainly drooling since the beginning of Brooke's beautiful home tour, as soon as I reached to the kitchen, I dropped dead for about 10 minutes savoring every little square inch of this gorgeous space... That sink, the table, those round cutting boards, and that floor! You have to go see it for yourself at Nesting With Grace.
Courtney's kitchen at A Thoughtful Place Blog was bright and effortless. Fresh flowers and fruits on the kitchen island were the perfect decor.
It was a happy surprise to see the bricked wall in Decor to Adore's Kitchen. It warms up her kitchen instantly. A combo of pots and some goodies completed the Autumn look.
Duke Manor Farm is simply gorgeous. Laura really knows how to bring the colors and the spirit of the new season with delicate touches, like in this case, a pretty sign, a little pumpkin...
If you love Farmhouse decor you need to visit Lynzy and Co. Lindsay's home is warm and inviting and her kitchen, as well as her entire home, is packed with those farmhouse touches we all love.
Jennifer at Dimples and Tangles is not afraid of color and I love to see how she brought it here to her kitchen thru the veggies, the flower arrangement and the striking red pot.
Delicate sophistication are my words for this pic from Julia from Cuckoo 4 Design's Kitchen.
I love Marty's idea of corralling her kitchen island decor on a pretty basket/tray. Easy enough to set it aside when we need the space for cooking.
Tammy at Pink Peppermint Designs brought Fall throughout her home in the most subtle way... Plaids, feathers, throw blankets... Here in the kitchen mother nature reigns with all those beautiful products of the season.
Finally my kitchen, where some small samples of Fall were brought in. From now on, I'm going to be more confident about the "less is more" in the kitchen. Fruits and vegetables are its best decor.
However, I noticed these other items across the field:
Trays/baskets corralling items
Cutting boards - white dipped are the latest trend.
Glass jars on counters to store goods.
kitchen scales.
Small flower or plant arrangements.
How about you? What's your best tip for holiday decor in the kitchen?
