Hi everyone!
So glad you found your way here to this year's Fall Home Tour edition put together by Marty @ A Stroll Thru Life!
If you're coming from My Uncommon Slice of Suburbia, welcome! Isn't Kristin's home gorgeous?! Her home, especially the kitchen, inspired my blogging journey. You have to check it out. ;)
If you're new here, I'm Cristina, and yes, it all started with the need to update my kitchen. Since then, I got hooked on DIYs, repurposed, and décor projects, and here is where I share all about it.
But hey, it's Fall or almost Fall y'all! And this is a home tour.
| DIY - Red Step Stool | DIY - Wooden Doormat | |
I spent a good part of my weekend trying to bring Fall to this beautiful porch with the addition of my newly built wheelbarrow. I just love it!

Even though the temperature was telling me: "Hello Cristina, it's still Summer!" I persevered and made it thru lots of sun, sweat, and the most pesky mosquitoes ever and ended up with a gorgeous porch dressed in its best Fall attire. ;)
But let's go inside!
This entire home tour was inspired by this print of a red barn. - A New England Bach Festival Fall 1986 - A free find I scored over Craiglist about three months ago. I just couldn't wait to bring it a top my fireplace in the family room.
Little bits of red and yellow were sprinkled from there and all throughout the house, creating a contrast to the regular grays and whites.
A new set of slips gave me a new pair of chairs. That's the thing I love the most about slipcovers, you invest a couple of hours in sewing them, and voila, new furniture for your room.

Well, it helps that the chairs have simple lines, so the sewing it's not that involved.
The shelves got plain Fall décor with pumpkins and owls.
On the corner, my pretty buffet fits so well with all the warm tones of the season.

| Buffet | Wooden Leaf | Wall Plaque | |
The buffet in the breakfast area is a striking and versatile piece that holds tons of stuff. I was surprised at how well that leaf project worked as wall decor. :)
We don't have many big family get-togethers in early fall, but I set our small kitchen table for my birthday celebration.
Browns, greens, wood tones...
And, oh yeah, a delicious raspberry tart.

Leaf placemats, log salad plates, and pears in wooden bowls are the main elements in each place setting.
As always, my kitchen décor goes to a minimum with vegetables, fruits, or something to grab on the go.
I love these bunches of wheat I found at Tjmax, I put them in this rusty holder, and they fit like a charm.

Finally, my latest grab at the flea market also got some sweet Fall decor.
