In my last post I showed you how my son's room has changed throughout the years and how it's ready for another makeover.
It is a small room in dear need of general storage space and, as a special request from my son, a desk.
I went online looking for inspiration and found these beautiful rooms. All of them share the same characteristic of built-ins that create a small nook around the bed.
My idea would be to incorporate a desk on one side, that way I get two things in one and still get free space around the bed.

I really like the two rooms above. Well, if my build-ins end up looking at least half good as any of the ideas on this post, I'll be really happy!

This room with all the blue and brown accents would be the perfect one for him, ha plus a desk. ;)

I'm not keen of adding shelves above the bed, even though I don't live in the west coast I'm afraid of stuff falling down on me while I sleep.
I love each and every one of these rooms. They are giving me great ideas that I can't wait to implement in my son's room.

This is a little sample of what I did in his room:

hola Cristina !!! me gusta la idea de los estantes arriba de la cama y con su zona de estudio,,, y colores grises para el.. ya que los niños no gustan tanto del celeste
ReplyDeleteGracias Angélica! Si, he's loving gray and red. ;)
DeleteI know that whatever you do it will be beautiful. Personally, I love the last picture with the bead board doors. It has that coastal look that I love.
ReplyDeleteLove your inspirations Cristina!
ReplyDeleteThese are so pretty! I thought about doing the same thing in my older son's room last year too, but I got a little lazy! It makes sense with all of that stuff they have. I know it will be great!
ReplyDeleteVery insirational!
ReplyDeleteIn fact I started thinking of doing something like that in our - disaster of a - bedroom.
can't wait to see what you do !!!!
ReplyDeleteAll the bedrooms look so nice and cozy! The pics make me want to make a little renovation at mine.
ReplyDeleteI love the first one with dresser drawers! First though I want a king size mattress!
