How are you guys doing?!
Are you enjoying your vacation already?
Or is it still a month away?
You may already be back home or having a staycation.
No matter what, I really hope you're having an awesome summer!
In the meantime, let's celebrate the Fourth of July!
I'm going to be home with my husband and kids on a very normal afternoon. We're going to have a very normal feast: hamburgers, hot dogs, corn on the cob, a salad, and who knows what else!
;)
As you can see, I prepared a very low-key table that anyone can enjoy.
Paper plates... Checked.
Paper Napkins... Checked.
Paper placemats... Checked.
Plastic silverware... Checked.

For placemats, I'm using pieces of red-striped wax paper I found a long time ago at Walmart. The blue polka dot and red-striped plates are from Target.
The table is none other than the big wire spool I scored long ago through Craiglist.
The wooden stars were brought out once again.
And, of course, American flags are the centerpiece.
The red bench was handy for holding the toolbox with extra supplies and the flowering geranium.
Lights put a festive mood to any occasion.
My daughter's work also made it to the table. I love this little piece she created in her ceramics class.
All the metal buckets were bought at Target. The small ones hold sparklers and bubbles.

The sparkles are something that this pair are enjoying to pieces this Summer! :)
First time ever lighting sparklers! I never thought of buying them, and they never asked for them. It's fun to see how much they're loving them. :D
Where are you going to be celebrating the fourth? I hope you have lots of fun!

I made some deco pillows out of an old flag I found at my apartments...kinda afraid to share for fear the patriotic purists will attack...lol! I am not a big decorator for holidays other than fall and Christmas, but this year I have added a few little "red/white/blue" touches here and there! I always admire your amazing tablescapes...with 4 cats and a HUGE dog, pretty tables are not something I can get away with!
ReplyDeleteI love the rustic look of your outside table. How lovely is the bowl your daughter made. So pretty, Cristina wishing you and yours a Happy and Bless 4th!

Adorable! We're having our annual pool party this fourth. I haven't done anything for it, but it will all work out right? I hope. It's surprisingly my boys favorite holiday. I think it's the movie The Sandlot that inspired them. They can watch that, swim at the party and then pop fireworks all night. They love it!
ReplyDeleteI love it. The little boxes of sparklers add such a cute touch. I don't even know where to buy those. I'll have to look for some next year. Happy 4th of July.
