However, for Christmas I tried my best to make it cozy and inviting so, when I found the Tartan wrapping paper over at Target, the idea of lining the center part of the bookcase with the paper appeared.
I like how striking are the colors in this paper, though I don't like that is a bit too shiny, next time I'll go for a matte finish.
The white sweater stockings from last year fit perfectly with the added deer silhouettes.
Felix the deer is totally in command, well, when Mr. RLC is not around. :) This is the mister's room, he loves to spend time here, reading, browsing the web or taking his naps.
It's here where his collection of vintage cameras reside.
His latest acquisition, the Polaroid Land Camera, given to him by his friend Dan. I also have to say thank you, Dan! I'm enjoying it. ;)
Being that he's a cameraman, it's not a big surprise that he collects cameras.
And no, they are not expensive or very old. It's lately that he's being interested in them, that's one of the things he keeps on looking during our trips to flea markets.
Holiday decor was brought to the room...
A small lantern topping each bookcase.
And even the red bench made it here.
The wreath with its red flowers pairs up nicely with the wing back chair on the other end of the room. ;)
An upholstery job I keep on postponing, but for now it works as it is.
Thanks for stopping by!

Your bedroom is so pretty. I adore a good red and white theme and this is amazing. The deer, the vintage camera's and the awesome red bench at the foot of the bed are just a few of my favorite from this room.
ReplyDeleteMy husband is a photographer and we have several vintage cameras on a bookshelf in our office.
ReplyDeleteAnother great idea! I hadn't thought of using wrapping paper as wall paper to fill the room with holiday color! I gotta go get busy with some decorating projects! I'm sure my 3 y/o will enjoy the process as well! Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteWhat an incredible room to sleep in! The bedroom is always the room that doesn't get done at my house, so I'm so envious of what you've put together here. I'm loving those stockings!
