I'm not that lucky person
I WON! :)
It was over at my friend Kristin at My Uncommon Slice of Suburbia, it's funny how things come around, she was the first blog I ever followed, my kitchen was done because she inspired me with her beautiful kitchen. I love her blog!
When I saw the Sushi Tablescape and Mikasa Giveaway she was hosting, I knew my daughter would love to have this set. That's what I wrote in the comments section, my daughter loves the Asian culture, she is already planning a trip to Japan, she hasn't finished high school, but she knows that's a country she needs to visit. Well, I knew if I ever win this set it will be given to her (hmm maybe that's the reason why I won).
As soon as the packages arrived, she was the one in charge.
Everything was packed so well!
And it all arrived in perfect condition.
The Mikasa Floral Silhouette is such a beautiful set!
For now I'm the one playing with it ;) I decided to set the mood for an Asian tablescape, adding some of the colors of the season.

We have used it not only for Chinese food or Japanese food, we have already served stake, pasta, shrimps, and even sancocho (a Latin American soup), on those beautiful bowls and plates!
Now that the temperatures are going down, the tea set is coming handy too ;)
It feels so good to win something. What have you won?
Congratulations, Cristina! I know your daughter is excited about your beautiful tablescape. I love Kristin's blog too. She is super sweet.

That's a beautiful set! I haven't won anything, but that's probably because I rarely enter a contest, lol. I need to change that! Your daughter will love Japan. I had to go to Tokyo for my husband's work about 8 years ago and was so upset since I had to leave my son at home, but I'm so glad I went now. It was one of the most wonderful places I've ever been. And, it's very, very safe. Be glad she likes Japan!
ReplyDeletethat is so pretty. Glad you won it. I did win once an amazon giftcard...and back in the days (like 20 years ago and before blogging) I won an inflatable float with a giant print of the hot dog company (who did the giveaway) yay!!

ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty set and congrats! Of all the Asian countries, Japan is at the top of my list and I hope and plan to go one day. You made it look so nice and welcoming and those lanterns are pretty too. Will there be a post on those? :)
