I'm one of those that is always saying, "Gosh! I can't believe it is the last day of the year!" Are you one of those? It sure feels like time flies, isn't it.
I'll be home with my family waiting for the new year to arrive, my kids love to wait until midnight, then, they go to bed.
In order to do a mini celebration I dressed the kitchen table for the occasion with a New Year's tablescape.
I used a plastic tablecloth to draw a clock on it. The tablecloth was taped on the floor and with a wooden ruler that I previously drilled some holes into, created the circles.
I used a helping hand in the center of the circle to keep the ruler from moving, and traced each of the three circles.
Then, it was time to draw those easy Roman numerals, simple lines, no need for stencils or stamps, just a little ruler. And let me tell you, this is the most INACCURATE clock I've ever seen! Some spaces are bigger than others :) but, that's OK .
Here it is all finished and ready be cut out.
After it was cut out, I couldn't wait to put it on the table on top of a real tablecloth.
Cute clock napkin rings made with ribbon and charms bought at Michael's, completed the theme.
Some more bling and we are ready for our little celebration. ;)

ReplyDeleteCristina- That is SUCH a fun and cute tablescape. What fun you have with your sweet family-I'll bet they just love it. Our kids are all in the adjacent state-the two daughters and their families anyway...and hubby is on call here so we really can't do anything. However, I will sit and watch a lovely old movie with some bubbly (can't drink with meds I am on) and enjoy the quiet of the last night of the year.

Cristina, your tablescape looks awesome! You are extremely creative...wow! This is a bit late but may I please ask the color of your curtains, and where they were purchased. I, 've wasted so much money trying find the right gray color for my Livingroom. Yours seem perfect. Thanks.
