Napkin rings are some of those things I usually don't like to spend money on. They sure add beauty to your tablescapes, but is something that is not a necessity. Most of the time there is no money left in my budget to buy that kind of "jewelry", even though many times I've been tempted to get some gorgeous ones like these:

I cut the pieces with scissors, don't you just hate when you forget to use the proper tools?! As soon as I finished cutting all the pieces with the scissors, I remember I have one of those paper cutters! That would've made this job waay easier!
A stamp, that fits the occasion, goes on each! Cannot stop but noticing those rough edges!
Well, a centered acorn on each ring will bring the attention off those edges!
Simple treasures brought home by my son during one of his outings.
And for that, I give Thanks!
These are great. I love acorns! Where did you find such a cute stamp?
ReplyDeleteI found it at Michaels, I couldn't believe those small stamps were 20 cents a piece! Of course, end of season sale!
ReplyDeleteWhat a clever idea! I never would have thought of this myself, but now I'm going to have to steal your idea! Haha :) It turned out soooo well.
ReplyDeleteCristina- What a cute, cute idea. I just love it. I have used those cores for other things but never thought of them for napkin rings- xo Diana

ReplyDeleteYou are too smart, Cristina! What a fantastic idea. :)
ReplyDeleteSo cute, and made even more special by the fact that your son brought the acorns home. I bet he is so happy that you are using them for a special meal!
ReplyDeleteThis is a good alternatives napkin ring. So simple and cute. I am going to try this one but the empty roll of toilet paper I will give a design so that it will add charm...:)
ReplyDeleteI had no idea those cute napkin rings were made from paper towel rolls, of all things. How clever of you! They look great, and what's even better is that this is a craft the kids can help with.
ReplyDeleteCristina, I just wanted to thank you for your visit yesterday. Your comments are showing up again as non reply, so I could not email you back. These napkin rings are fabulous! Hope you have a very Happy Thanksgiving!

ReplyDeleteWhat a smart and thrifty gal. What a fantastic idea. I keep seeing more and more projects using toilet paper, gift wrap roll and paper towel rolls. I was saving them for awhile then thought "nah I won't use them". Ok now I'll have to save the rolls like crazy to have enuf to make things with. I'll have to look for an acorn stamp.
ReplyDeleteI have some acorns I picked up in Paulsboro, N.J. one time when we were stuck there over New Years in hubs truck. That was long time ago. We lived in MT at that time. then we moved to KY and now in Western CO but those acorns were going with me wherever we lived. So glad I kept them. They're really small but they're so cute, I used them this year for Fall decos. Happy Thanksgiving
