It's not a secret, I love moldings!
My number one reason, it adds architectural interest to any room you put them into!
It breaks up big expanses of wall. When I just move into my house this was one of the first projects I tackled. Having empty rooms was not fun and I didn't have art pieces to put on the walls to fill them up.
Like in my family room here.
They become Instant Art. Although you can fill them up with your own!
You can use them all around your house. Bedrooms, dinning rooms, living rooms, kitchens, hallways, staircases, any room will benefit from them.
I installed installed this one to fill up a big wall on the staircase.
My sweet visitor, Chloe, looking up!
Look how empty it looked before.

This is an easy project.
One simple frame can be done in a couple of hours or less.
You'll need the moldings, miter saw or box, level, hammer, nail set, caulk, and liquid nails.
If the molding is small I only use nails, with bigger moldings I also apply a small amount of liquid nails to better secure them.
You have many styles of molding to choose from, and many ways to set them in place
The one in the staircase has a double frame, two different moldings.
They are fairly ease to change if you decide that's not the style you want any more or if you simply want to create something new.
It happened to me when creating the t.v. wall. I wanted to expand the area the molding was covering, I took off the lower part of the frame an extended it almost to the floor.
You build them any size, any color, any way you want them and they give your room tons of visual interest.
Perhaps, one of the most important reasons why I like them is because of the price. It is a fairly cheap project that gives you a lot of bang for your buck.
Are you ready to add beauty and value to your home? Wall Frame Moldings is a good starting point.
Have a great day!

Great features and terrific ideas! I'm also a molding lover, I have it through out our social area and when we'll remodel our bedroom I'm going to use moldings again, you just gave me the idea! When you get a chance I just bought an antique buffet and right there I have the wall moldings with artwork smack in the squares that formed it and I love it! The post is right behind my Easter tables of now. You're right, I love the elegance, coziness and architectural design. HAPPY EASTER for you all.
