I love Washington D.C.

It's a good thing that I live in the greater Washington D.C. metropolitan area.  Every time I have visitors I have plenty of places to take them.  This week, my sister Claudia was the one who enjoyed a beautiful day sightseeing the Nation's Capital.

Our day began at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial, my first time visiting it.  It opened to the public on August, 2011.

It's located on a corner of the Tidal Basin.  Here, my sister's at the MLK,Jr. Memorial overlooking the Jefferson Memorial.

From here we headed to the Lincoln Memorial, but on our way there, we stopped by at the Korean War Veterans Memorial.

On our back,  such a magnificent view! The reflecting pool (which its been repaired), and the Washington Monument.

From here, we walked all the way to the Jefferson Memorial.

That was the end of our day.  My two kiddos were not that happy to be re-visiting these last monuments, especially with all the walking involved. :/

As I told you I am very happy to have these amount of history in my own back yard and free. It cannot be topped.

It was a small sample of the many wonderful places Washington D.C. offers you.

Have a great day!
