Well, don't you love impromptu meals! You're talking to a friend and out of the blue you just made arrangements for her and her husband to come by the following day. Yep. That's exactly how this simple tablescape was created.
Let me tell you how you can achieve a simple, economical and good looking table, even at the very last minute!

Eucalyptus Garland | Table |
I needed to set this table for a casual dinner for six. I already had the garland, I fell in love with it and bought it a couple of weeks ago thinking on using it during the holidays.
And I also had the flowers and pumpkins that, luckily, I found at Trader's Joe.
As you can see, there are real and faux items in this set up. The eucalyptus garland is faux, but I added real eucalyptus clippings and sprinkled the little purple flowers along its length a few minutes before the guests arrived.
I only bought one big pumpkin, not sure how I was going to decorate with it. But, as soon as the tablescape idea came up, I knew this pretty pumpkin would be the centerpiece.
Though, I also had to reach out for my faux pumpkin stash to complete the arrangement.
White dishes are a staple on my tablescapes. They go with any style or color combo and even with other colorful sets.
I decided not to cover the table since the beautiful wood was the perfect complement to those earthy Fall tones.
This kind of set up is one of the easiest you can create... A buffet type table with stacked plates and bowls...
Utensils inside a pitcher and a handful of cloth napkins close by.
A simple table solution where your guests can help themselves.
And with the option of using the table for a sit down dinner or to pick up the food and go sit some where else.
We opted to sit down and enjoy our food right here.
