I'm so excited to share my home with you today as part of the summer home tours hosted by my friend Marty from A Stroll Thru Life. There are 30 beautiful homes full of Summer decor inspiration.
If you're joining me from Sarah's house at Life On Virginia Street, welcome! I just love her beautiful home. Are you following her kitchen makeover?
Oh, I can't wait to see that transformation!
I hope you get a chance to visit all the homes. The links are at the end of this post.
If you're new around here, I've been changing things in our home for the past six years, trying to update and give character to our house, one DIY project at a time.
Lately, I've been enjoying neutral décor, but this Summer, perhaps due to all the rain we've had, I decided to embrace color and put a cheerful mood into our main rooms.
It all started here in the family room, the most used space. Many of the décor pieces came from our patio. If we can't enjoy the outdoors, we better bring them inside!
My collection of bottles and colorful books was the icing on the cake. I sprinkled them all around.
The nesting tables and rug are patio décor items that I haven't been able to use out there.
And nothing like flowers to bring happiness to a room!
The kitchen usually gets a few changes, mainly on the cupboards.
Blue glasses replaced the usual bowls and cups I store on the shelves. They give the kitchen a breeze atmosphere.
Let's go to my office, my happy space. 😉
Well, my wonderful space!
Clear glass bottles were transformed with the power of this spray paint. 💙💙
It was fun to decorate the main level of our home for Summer. I'm working on updating the master bathroom, which means our entire second-story floor is in complete chaos.
I hope you get a chance to visit all the homes. The links are at the end of this post.

I'm still infatuated with the color pink. Here, the pink roses make a good contrast to all the blues.
The kitchen island stayed like this for ten minutes. It's like it has a magnet for clutter. Geez, everybody drops stuff on it.

All those colorful books make me happy.
Most of the books and bottles are thrifty finds.
But, there in between them are books I really like.
Well, you know I like a good DIY, and this is so easy and charming...

In this little nook, I finally installed those sconces, another thrifty find from years ago. They're totally decorative. I'm looking for some good battery-operated lights to fit in there.
