Christmas Tablescape with Little Tree Name Tags

Eeek December is here!!

I've been having so much fun decorating my home for the holidays, but I have to tell you, it's been a bit of a chore that's never ending!

That's right. I keep on changing things around and trying to fill every little spot with something Christmas related, only to take it away a bit later. Crazy I know!

Anyways, I just thought of sharing with you this little project for my Christmas tablescape.

Tiny little trees that can serve as name tags on the table. They're super easy and inexpensive to make and you can create a whole bunch in minutes.

The Materials you'll need:

Artificial pine bush.
Small pieces of wood.
Drill with 3/16 drill bit
Hot glue gun

1. Pull the little "trees" or branches from the artificial bush. I got mine at Michaels for under five bucks.

The little round pieces of wood came from a 1" dowel I already had. You can also slice square pieces from a 2 x 2, or hey, use those little pieces from the remnant pile. ;)

2. Drill a hole right in the center and only half way through on each piece of wood.

3. Using a little bit of hot glue, set the little tree on the wooden base.

4. You can also add a little bow or other decorations, and write the name on the wooden base.

They look like tiny little saplings, perfect for the Christmas theme I have this year: Farm fresh Christmas trees. :)

With the little trees ready, I went to decorate the table, adding lots of red.

And lots more trees!

A big scarf works nicely as a table runner.

And the Santa letter/envelopes are a nice little gift for the guests.
