Nothing better than a good flea market deal!
Yeah, I've been there. I've found lots of good stuff at flea markets and at excellent prices.
Many times, I get stuff I don't necessarily need. But, if the item is cute and cheap, it must come home with me. 😉
Ha, last week, I kept evaluating that philosophy as I collected items from my basement to sell at the flea market next weekend.
I found LOTS of stuff lying there, looking mostly the same way as they did the first day I got them. And the worst part is that they haven't been used.
One such item is this small wooden basket, which looks ten times better in this picture than in real life.
I decided to transform it with paint.
Two coats of my not-so-secret white - homemade chalk paint - but hey, too white.
All those slats were perfect for some color.

Ahhh, much better. 😊
The inside stayed white.
A before and after of the side with those cute hearts. ❤❤❤
And, of course, it was the first time I ever used it.

I hope someone gets to use it more than I did.
It makes a good Mother's Day present, isn't it?

ReplyDeleteLooks cute in those colours. Hey, you could make some of those, the pattern is easy to trace or copy. Two end pieces and some slats!
ReplyDeleteA fantastic makeover Cristina. Good luck at your sale this weekend! It will go quickly!
