Red and White Christmas Mantel

Hi friends,

It's hard to believe December is here; where has this year gone?!

The hardest part of time passing by is when I look at my kids.

One day they're little...

The next day, they don't need my help that much...

And then, they're almost leaving school and going their own way!

Anyways, that's life. :'(

With the arrival of December, the Christmas season has begun at RLC.
I worked on the Wooden Snowflake Art last week, and during the weekend, I got the mantel together. Unlike last year's mantel, I wanted this one simple and with lots of red. ;)

Those two parts were achieved.

The same fabrics I used to make the heart ornaments were used again to make these stockings. So far, these are my all-time favorites. 

I'm loving all the red.

Ha, and those ruffled cuffs. :)

I might write another post about them.

This might also be called a snowflake mantel; those flakes fall everywhere.

Mr. RLC's old red sweaters got new life as pillowcases; of course, they had to have a snowflake.

Finally, some candles give all that snowy scenery some warmth. ;)
