Hi everyone!
This is my first time putting together an inspiration board, it is fun but it requires time, at least for a rookie like me. :) Anyhow, I would be reeeaallly happy to see the room turning exactly like the one on my board, but
I think I cannot afford the PB daybed or the lamps! So, this is how it's going to roll:

Some of the wine crates I had in the garage will serve as wall storage.
The office part of the room is shrinking from the previous long desk to the tall narrow bookcase that was previously in the family room and it was replaced by the hutch.
It would be awesome to have the two lamps on my inspiration board, I love those vases. I hope mine turn out at least a quarter as good as those! Two old lamps I have in the basement are my material, and I still need to paint them.

I'm thinking of re-doing the roman shade that's already in the room and add long burlap panels to cover the light that comes from the sides of the shade.
For the main piece of art I like to have a round shape above the bed, it can be a mirror, maybe a clock. I have to shop my garage to see what can I find!

The floor is the only thing that's already done, you can read about that HERE. To see how the room looked before, click HERE.
I guess that's it for now. I need to go and finish working on that bed, I think that's going to be my next post.
You can see these ideas and more, by following me on Pinterest HERE.
Have a great weekend!

ReplyDeleteHi Cristina - I love your inspiration board! What computer program did you use? I would love it if you would do a tutorial on how to make an inspiration board!

ReplyDeleteI love the ideas you have in mind. You are very hands on and your home is beautiful so I know this room will be a show stopper.
ReplyDeleteThanks MS Designs! I used Photoshop CS, a complex program that I'm still learning how to work it. I had no doubt there must be lots of tutorials online on how create an inspiration.board with this program.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic inspiration board! I suspect your room will be awesome and probably much nicer that the PB room and definitely a lot cheaper!!!!
ReplyDeleteLove that inspiration board! It's going to be gorgeous!!! Seriously, I'm so excited to follow this transformation!

One of my favourite things about decorating is to figure out ways to put my own spin on what inspires me. I'm sure you'll be able to achieve the look you want with some creativity and thinking outside the box :-) Have fun!
