I really like when things are easy to create and serve multiple purposes, and that's the case with these pencil holders. They are called pencil holders because they are covered with pencils but you can use them to hold anything you want besides pencils... utensils, flowers, candies, tools or they can be used as simple decorative objects.
As soon as I saw these cute patriotic pencils at the dollar section at Target I snatched a big bunch, love them!
You're also going to need:
Tin cans - spray paint - hot glue gun - miter saw - decorations
Cut the pencils right in the middle and inside their packages using the miter saw.
After giving the cans a coat of paint attach the pencils all around using the hot glue gun and that's it.
Easy right?!
I'm going to use them as table decor for Memorial day.
But they also make a great gift for teachers.
In fact, anyone would love to receive one of these.
Don't you agree?
