Angels watching over us is how I decided to name my mantel this year. I was starting my Holiday decorating when I heard the terrible news about what happened at Sandy Hook Elementary School.
This mantel was born in my mind at that time. It is my little tribute to those angels, but it is also a tribute to all the angels watching over us.

The image of the three little angels was taken from a Hallmark greeting card that one of our friends sent us a long ago. It was blown up like 130 times for this project. I've displayed the little card all around our home. I think the three little angels are so cute :)
White and gold were my colors of choice.
I set to work on twenty angels!
Two wooden angels on each extreme of the mantel. Six on the garland are old ornaments that were spray-painted white.
And yes, the set of stocking holders needs an E. If you follow me, you already know that story; if not, you can read about it HERE. The saga of finding that missing letter is still going on.
(Hey Mindi, you were right. They were the same stocking holders ;)
