What a week I've had! The most exciting thing: I was on TV!
Last Monday I went to New York to represent Hometalk at the Spanish speaking station WXTV-TV Channel 41 Univision-NY, bringing the "Hometalk for the Holidays" campaign with very easy, inexpensive and festive crafts and decorations people everywhere can create to instantly liven up their homes during the Holiday season.
But this post is about my whole experience, so here it goes...
As soon as Hometalk gave me the green light for the show, my nerves went up some notches, I couldn't sleep well that night thinking about what projects should I bring and what should I say.
The following week, Thanksgiving, was such a busy week, I didn't even have time to think about it, and it was better that way ;)
Monday morning, the projects were ready, my Hometalk speech was ready, just in case they ask ;) I boarded the train from Washington D.C. to New York.
Once in the hotel I noticed that one of the projects had gotten damaged during the trip, the paper stars were all smashed... Some more crafting was done that night ;)
I tried to go to bed at 10:00 pm, but the excitement didn't allow me to fully fall asleep until well past 12!
I woke up at 4:00 am the next morning to be at the station at 5:30.
Here are some pics Lauren snapped, minutes before the segment was aired, I was feeling great, we were rehearsing about how everything should go...
Some make up touches made me feel even better! :)
WooHoo put on some more, this is fun!
Well, as soon as the final count down began, my body went full shock! :s
The most important advice given to me: SMILE, got lost some where in my brain! I could not smile! A fastidious smirk was the best I could deliver!
Oh boy, that first minute was painful, I think I was shaking a bit, I kind of knock down one of the paper cones, even my voice was shaky. Fuff!
Some how I recoup while explaining what I knew pretty well, the projects!

Isn't it amazing how our bodies respond to stressful situations?! Well, I'm so grateful Hometalk gave me this wonderful opportunity, lots to learn from it!
