One of our lately routines on weekends has been for me and hubby to go around the neighborhood for a walk.
Saturday morning was no exception, but this time I planned my walk to the Flea Market. It is set up the first Saturday of each month at the Train station's parking lot, like six blocks away from our home.

I have to admit ... I'm new at doing this. But, I've been reading so many stories of people finding wonderful things that... I was ready to give it a try, besides with hubby aboard, the one who loves to haggle, I was more than ready. ;)
The day was perfect. a very sunny, warm day with not so many people around.
Here I am with some of my treasures.
Back at home, admiring our deals.
Check out that Linotype drawer. We got it for $10. I think I already know where to put it to good use.
Hubby really liked the Brass Fireplace Log Holder, $1. And of course he couldn't come back home without a cable. A networking Cable. Don't know why? He has hundreds already in the basement!
The first things I spotted were these globes, two of them! the one that was being used I got it for one buck. For the new one still in the box the price went up.
The New One still in the box I am giving it away today as a Giveaway. :)
THIS GIVEAWAY IS CLOSED.
I will announce the winner on Monday, May 28th 2012
-This is for US residents only-
I'd love to win, I'd use it on either my bookcase or hutch! I already follow you on GFC!

Great finds. I love the globes. What a steal! I was thinking they remind me of a pottery barn, restoration hardware or ballard designs sort of accessory. I absolutely love them. If I won I think it would find a nice place for it on my fireplace mantle or perhaps on my buffet in the DR. Following on GFC.
ReplyDeleteGreat finds! I love the drawer!!! I think it's so funny your husband came back with a cable. Sounds like something my husband would come back with :)

ReplyDeleteHi there! I am following you on the linky thing but when I tried to follow you on the other one, it wouldn't let me because of the linky thing. I liked you on facebook but I don't know how to twitter. Someday, I will accomplish that! I love the globe! I think I would put it in my bathroom and maybe lightly tape a little "map" to it, to "inspire" my hubby to plan a family vacation other than the local zoo which is located 20 minutes from our house! Think it would work? ;)
